Welcome to 7 days of Mindfulness

Welcome to Day 1! Thank you for signing up to this 7 day mindfulness challenge, I hope you enjoy it.

Every day we will cover a different teaching of mindfulness via an audio recording that you can download to use anytime you want. Over the 7 days I hope to show you how mindfulness can help you via short, easy mindfulness practices (all are 7 minutes long).

In order to get the most out of this experience I do recommend that you do the practices every day in the morning if possible, though don’t worry if you miss one, you can always catch up

Mindfulness is the practice of bringing your attention to the moment with acceptance and non-judgement. Mindfulness is about re-training your awareness to be in the moment and not distracted by the future or the past. Why? Well as Ruby Wax says:

                                                               “When you’re present you’re at your best!”

So today we are starting with a basic mindfulness practice. During the 7 minutes I cover:

  • how to practice, 
  • posture
  • what is mindfulness
  • how changing your breath changes your stress levels
  • a simple technique for reducing stress levels.
